Call for Proposals for Civil Society Organizations on Dealing with the Past

UN Women Lebanon Office welcomes proposals for partnerships to achieve results under the Women, Peace, and Security programme.
Proposals should suggest interventions to achieve one or more of the following outcomes, outputs, activities, and indicators below, utilizing an approach recommended by the applicant.
Outcome 3.2: Strengthened security, stability, justice, and social peace.
Output 3.2.1 Social cohesion enhanced through women-led intra- and inter-community inclusive processes and social dialogue.
Activity 3.2.1.18 Mobilize actors towards truth, justice and reconciliation using the findings of the gender war crime study.
Indicative Activities:
- Produce and disseminate knowledge and communication products on discrimination against and exclusion of women from Lebanon’s history (including pre, during, and post the civil war) and from mainstream narratives.
Target: at least 6 events
- Develop educational materials that are gender-responsive and that address the marginalization of women from Lebanon’s history (including pre, during, and post the civil war) and from mainstream narratives.
Target: at least 6 products
- Roll-out of above-mentioned educational materials with teachers of middle and secondary schools
Target: 35 teachers
Timeframe: 24 months
Budget for Activity 3.2.1.18 should be a maximum of 150,000 USD.
