Under the collaboration between UN Women and TikTok, UN Women Regional office for the Arab States was at TikTok’s second edition of Creator Hub Awards Ceremony, #HerAmbition in Riyadh on Wednesday 28 February.

The event celebrated women entrepreneurs in the MENA region, giving them a platform to showcase their talents and encouraged Arab women to pursue their dreams of owning their own businesses through awarding the top three competitors with monetary awards and giving them visibility for their projects. In conjunction with International Women’s Day this year, under the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, UN Women gave a marketing toolkit – Gender Responsive Marketing as a knowledge product to TikTok and their awardees to promote gender equality in advertising and marketing. The toolkit is very easy to navigate: featuring a series of checklists for readers to properly assess the gender-lens of how companies advertise their products and just who creates them.

UN Women is pleased to feature TikTok awardees and extends our warmest gratitude to TikTok for their contribution to #InvestInWomen.
