The High-Level Meeting on Progress in Implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BDPfA) after Thirty Years is a key event that highlights the Arab regional review process, which began in September 2023. The meeting gathers senior officials from 22 Arab countries, civil society representatives, and national human rights institutions to assess progress made in implementing the BDPfA from 2019 to 2024. It offers a valuable opportunity to reflect on achievements, address challenges, and identify opportunities. It also enables participants to define new regional priorities and commitments for the next five years, with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the twelve strategic objectives of the BDPfA, alongside the related Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
