Regional meeting to strengthen the Sub-Committee's capacity on gender equality "Women's economic empowerment and access to decent work"

ESCWA, in partnership with the League of Arab States and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), is organizing a regional meeting to strengthen the capacities of the Subcommittee on Gender Equality in relation to women's economic empowerment and access to decent work. 

The meeting aims at discussing the current state of women’s economic empowerment in the Arab region, enhancing the exerted efforts and policies needed in this regard, and sharing best practices in increasing women’s safety and access to decent work.
