Awareness animation to TVET school students

Women have equal rights as men to work in different industries and jobs that are decent. Check out this animated video that speaks to this issue.

The video aims at encouraging women to join non-traditional sectors of the labor market as well as employers to hire more women technicians. This video targets young girls and boys in technical and vocational education and training schools (TVET) from 16-18 years old to open up discussions on this topic. It was developed by IECD through its partnership with UN Women Egypt within the framework of the UN Women and International Labour Organization (ILO) Egypt joint programme “Promoting Productive Employment and Decent Work for Women in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine”, which is implemented in partnership with the National Council for Women and the Ministry of Manpower, with the generous support of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).

The joint programme aims to promote #ProductiveEmployment and #DecentWork for women by promoting equitable laws and policies, addressing unpaid care, and engaging public, private and community actors to encourage women to enter all different occupations.
