Enabling Entrepreneurial Leadership

At the heart of a successful entrepreneurial journey are the strategies entrepreneurs use to manage themselves, others, and their ecosystem. To do that, an entrepreneur continuously walks a tight rope, balancing different tensions and opposing demands. Therefore, an entrepreneur needs to know her default thinking strategies and what works to maintain that balance through various circumstances. 

In this session, we explored five main areas of tension that every entrepreneur deals with and the various possible approaches to each area. To examine your default thinking patterns, recognizing new strategies to regain balance where needed.

In this session we explored:
• What is a thinking strategy, and why is it essential to understand your thinking strategies.
• Five Key areas of tension where entrepreneurs need to lead on the edge
o Managing your approach to thinking about problems
o Managing strategic and operational decision-making with partners and team members
o Managing your relationships with your business partners and employees
o Managing your external environment and stakeholders
o Managing yourself when you are dealing with adversity threatening the existence of your business

Entrepreneurs walked away from this session with:
o Uncovering your default thinking strategies in each area
o Learning from strategies followed by renowned women leaders
o Identifying areas for change where you need to expand or shift your thinking strategies
o Deciding on action steps to start the transition toward more balance
