Violence against Children (short version)

The video is part of a series prepared to support families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other stressful circumstances, including the Beirut Port Explosion (August 4, 2020). It provides an overview on violence against children, with the definition and types of child abuse explained. The video provides information on Article 27, of Law No. 422/2002 on the 'Protection of Children in Violation of the Law or Exposed to. Danger' which covers child protection measures. Article 27 emphasizes the importance of ensuring the safety of juveniles and children. Guidance, for referral purposes, are included for children exposed to danger or abuse. This video was developed under the UN Women project “We Can Together- Time for Real Change” implemented by CARE International in partnership with ABAAD and funded by the Government of Japan (April 2020- June 2021).
