كيف جعل العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي والتمييز حياة اللجوء أقسى على السوريات

في حين عانى السوريون عمومًا من عواقب اللجوء على مدى سنين، فقد تأثَّرت النّساء السّوريات بشكل مضاعَف، لكونهن لاجئات ونساءًا على حد سواء. فإن التمييز وعدم المساواة بين الجنسين يجعل اللَّاجئات السوريات أكثر عرضة للعنف والاستغلال وأقل قدرةً على إيجاد فرص كسب العيش. لتمكينهن والسَّماح لهن بتلبية احتياجاتهِن اليومية وطويلة الأجل، نحن بحاجة إلى إعطاء الأولوية لزيادة فرصهن في كسب الرزق والحد من العنف والتميز ضدهنWhile Syrians, in general, have suffered the harmful consequences of displacement for years now, Syrian women have been doubly impacted, because they are both refugees and women. Gender discrimination and inequality make Syrian refugee women and girls more vulnerable to violence and exploitation and less able to find livelihood opportunities. To empower and allow them to meet both their daily and long-term needs, we need to prioritize their livelihood opportunities while reducing gender-based violence and discrimination.
