Webinar: Introduction to the Gender Innovation Agora

Date: Wednesday, August 5, 2020

To commemorate International Youth Day (August 12), UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States (ROAS) will organize a webinar to introduce the Gender Innovation Agora (GIA), a consultative forum and dialogue platform for young people in the Arab States, established by UN Women in 2018.

The event will also launch the call for nominations of the 2020 cohort for the youth network. The webinar will host and introduce current GIA members, present their achievements and the eligibility criteria and benefits of joining the GIA team.

Constituted from eminent civil society professionals, young advocates and social media influencers, the GIA works to support youth representatives to provide expertise on youth and gender issues, design innovative solutions and campaigns on gender equality and women’s empowerment, encourage the mobilization of young people around global processes and facilitate the dissemination of information to youth networks and organizations across the region.

*Application for the GIA 2020 cohort will be launched on August 12th, 2020.
