Gendered Impacts of Recurrent Flooding in Yemen

This Gender Alert sits under the Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) Working Group and has been developed by UN Women Yemen with the GiHA Working Group. It is based on an analysis of primary data collected through 19 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with affected women and community members in Taiz, Abyan, Aden, Lahj and Hadramaut, an institutional interview with the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs of Taiz Local Authority, secondary data review, and consultations with humanitarian partners and women-led organizations working across flood-affected areas.
